About myself, your photographer:

As I'm sure you`ve guessed, I'm Paul of Paul George Photographer and proprietor of The Photography Studio. I am a very lucky husband and proud father of two beautiful daughters. My wife and I moved to Orangeville in 2003 after visiting the town and deciding we wanted to be part of the community.

My Background:  As a young man I discovered the passion for photography and like many enthusiasts I experimented with different techniques and styles.  I decided to seriously pursue photography as a career and that my post secondary education would be in commercial photography. I successfully became a Scholar Graduate at Sheridan College and pushed onward entering the world of professional photography in the commercial and advertising industries. I provided my services to companies large and small and continue to do so to this day, as well as accepting assignments for portraits, which I loved. As the years went by I began to dream more and more of opening my own studio; it must be an age thing wanting to stay in one place.....and here we are.

In the studio I approach portraiture the same way I approach my commercial work. Whether you are looking for a traditional style that's very formal in appearance or if you're looking for something that's very trendy, edgy, cutting edge, with a magazine style quality to the image, that's what I'm about.

Photography is about capturing light. I especially enjoy studio work as it allows me to use my expertise in lighting. Great light is what separates great photographers from ordinary photographers. Have you ever wondered how magazine shots are so perfect and capture that 'certain something'? A great photographer can take a flashlight and create a special image, but without a thorough knowledge of lighting you may as well be in the dark. I understand light and have the knowledge and equipment to control it for the best possible image, to create the look and feel you want. Whether it's the glamour model shot or the warmth of a family portrait, I will not disappoint.
